His unrelenting wit makes the show what it is. Much of the show’s humour is derived from his colleagues and interns struggling to put up with his whims and eccentricities.
Truth is that although there is no one as crude as him, there’s also no one as honest and efficient as him.
The man gets the job done, whatever his ways may be.
